We’ve finally got around to having some T-Shirts printed.  You can buy them from our on-line store at Owlet Music.  They’ve been designed by the ace Nic Finch and are a 4 colour screen print – hence the price, they look ace though.

If you Tweet us a picture  @Trwbador of yourself wearing one of the T-Shirts you’ll get on the guest-list of  any gig we play that you choose and we may chuck an Owlet Music Vol. 1 compilation in as well.

Trwbador’s First Song

We found this song after looking around on our hard drive the other day.  It’s the first song we ever made together and also the first one to be played on the radio.  The ace Adam Walton played it on his BBC Radio Wales show.

It’s in Welsh and translates to ‘Everyone’s on Drugs’  but the title translates to just ‘Drugs’

RADIO WALES MUSIC DAY

Last Night we performed a session live for BBC Radio Wales as part of Radio Wales Music Day.  We played along side Cut Ribbons and The Last Republic at West Wales best venue The Parrot.

This session was the first time we’ve performed our tunes using a ‘digital’ set-up.  It would be great to hear your reactions, as we’ve been playing a completely ‘stripped back’ set for over a year and a half now.

THE ALBUM

Although we’ve been talking about making an album for a very long time, we haven’t actually done any work on it yet.  We’ve booked some time off from the day job to sort it out and hopefully by the end of the next 2 weeks, we should have something to show you!

COLLABORATION

We’re very happy to announce that we’ve worked along side the frankly awesome, Cornershop on a re-make of a track from our 2nd EP.  We will be posting it along with release details within the month!

A NEW SONG

Our song ‘Deffro ar y llawr’ is in the process of being mastered. We will keep you posted on that release when it comes! Woopah!

BLWYDDYN NEWYDD DDA!

This week we started a competition to win every Trwbador release so far on CD (and a couple of other goodies).  To win all you had to do was answer this question:

‘How many chins does Kerry Katonas mum have?’

As you can see, the answer is clearly 4.  Unfortunately no one guessed this right, although some answers were very close.  We will  run another competition next week so Watch This Space!

To be honest we’d forgotten this website existed for a bit!  We’ve been hectically busy doing stuff.  We’ve just come back from London, which was nice.  Played SWN 2011 to a great crowd on a lovely stage and on the same night supported Meic Stevens who played one the best gigs of recent years – he was amazing!

If you want to know what we’re up to now.  We’re about to start recording a 3 song lo-fi Welsh EP on to tape.  It will feature a re-working of Daw’r Nos and 2 new tracks we’ve been playing live over the Summer – Gwlana and Deffro Ar Y Llawr.

We’re also working on our first album which will be released in 2012!
